The importance of security for your staff and shoppers is paramount. From great lighting at night, secure entrances and efficient guards…the Waterfront has you covered.
900 parking bays are more than twice the standard requirement. Wasted minutes circling around waiting for open slots are avoided this way
The Waterfront App, free Wifi, footfall cameras are just some of the ways you can optimize your business and keep track of the number of people coming in.
There is a defined phased approach to development. This means you can prepare well in advance for all the new features that will be accessible to you.
We have clear lines of communication to facilitate processes with our tenants. All servicing needs are taken care of, including mitigation for unexpected events, power, and water outages.
At the Waterfront, we’re inspired by water.
We understand that exceptional circulation is paramount to enjoying the Waterfront experience. We have built an active frontage and set strategic floor plans in order to include a great variety of both local and international shops, restaurants and cafes in an easy to navigate environment with ample parking and accessibility for all.
Our"‘toentr"’ has over 50 acres of trails, parkland and outdoor amenities and lake side activities to keep visitors entertained and allow them to re-connect with nature.
The Waterfront is dedicated to offering a safe, environmentally responsible, world-class leasing experience to all our tenants. We aspire to become the go-to destination in East Africa, offering a versatile and unforgettable experience to everyone, every time. The Waterfront has invested in measures that will improve your leasing and tenancy experience, including administration, security and aesthetics.
We encourage outside living, so visitors will enjoy plenty of open inside the buildings are made with intentional spaces that let in natural light and ventilation, not to mention the acres of space outside. The Waterfront will give shopping experiences a (figurative and literal) breath of fresh air.
The lake, overlooked by various restaurants, will offer visitors an unbeatable view.
Our eateries and shops will offer a taste of the world, because our clients are world class.
The Waterfront will come with a variety of fun-based activities for the whole family, from child-friendly games to extreme sports.
We are creating a lake to enhance the natural environment and act as the central visual theme that unifies the development’s diverse elements.
The Waterfront will considerably reduce reliance on mains water, lighting and comfort utilities. The lake at the heart of the development, 14,000 square metres in size, doubles as a wetland. It will be the main water storage area while the land will act as the catchment area. Cascades and fountains will help oxygenate the water. We will add Gambusia fish to eliminate mosquitos, catfish to control the frog population, and tilapia to control algae growth. These will in turn attract herons, ducks, geese, kingfishers and many other birds. Other than the ecological attraction, the water features will also reduce dependence on mains water by incorporating sophisticated water recycling and holding system. The buildings, meanwhile, will use as much natural light as possible and take advantage of natural ventilation.
The Waterfront believes in the sustainable use of water. We identified a company to fit in all our water output products a champion for the value of water Hansgrohe.
Their mixers and showers, which are fitted with EcoSmart technology, require up to 60% less water than conventional products. Thirteen litres of water per minute run through a conventional basin mixer. EcoSmart lowers water consumption by up to 60%, to around 5 litres per minute. This works by adding air and by means of a special flow limitation system. The result of which is a full, bubbling water jet.
The development will have solar panels on the rooftops that will supplement The Waterfront’s power needs.
To keep tenants, their assets and customers secure, we have designed a security strategy that complies with world standards.
This will be an app with a host of functions, including:
This includes a state of the art CCTV system that monitors the town centre 24/7.
They are designed for shoppers to be able to leave their shopping in a safe storage area and collect after they’ve spent a day wandering, eating, playing and relaxing.
These will let you know how attractive your store is to shoppers.
This will offer a number of marketing opportunities
Separate areas designed for shoppers who want to browse and work, with access to electrical points and WiFi.
The Waterfront is equipped with power saving elevators and escalators.
More people are choosing to live and work in Karen and there is a steady stream of boutique restaurants, cottage industries and commercial enterprises that are populating the neighbourhood - all attuned to the unique quality of the local environment. Karen has set the standard for integrating the natural and built environment, adding aesthetic value whilst keeping environmental impact to a minimum. The Waterfront has adopted a low-density, eco-sensitive approach that fits in perfectly with the quaint nature and heritage that Karen has so carefully preserved in the past.
Multi-national firms that are looking to set base in the East Africa market are increasingly choosing the Karen neighbourhood. It offers easy connectivity to the heart of Nairobi and still offers high quality living and working environment. The Waterfront is located within the ‘Karen triangle’: the intersection between Langata Road, Karen road and Ngong road.
With substantial Government investment in improving the roads network in the area, Karen is set to become even more accessible; and The Waterfront will be right at the heart of this crosshatch of thoroughfare moving into and through the area with ease.
Highways Authority (KenHA) has already begun works expanding the Karen-Kikuyu and Karen- Bomas roads, upgrading them to dual carriage standard. Additional lanes connecting Karen suburb to Ngong are also planned.
Our construction site is abuzz with activity and we are rapidly enhancing the local landscape. Multiple layers are added to the original motif like layers of petticoats under a skirt- to ultimately acquire the desired shape and appearance as envisioned by the Developer.
The dynamic flow and pace of The Waterfront is a result of cooperation with top designers and the Developers extensive experience in retail environments.
The Waterfront Development is a Two-Story retail building comprising 31,000 square meters gross built area in Phase 1. Our building shell structure is constructed out of reinforced concrete. You might be curious about the skeletal forms that can be seen on the numerous buildings-under-construction all around Nairobi City. There’s a lot of this that is now visible on our site especially on the second level of the building- this referred to as formwork. Formwork is a formation of panels (timber, steel, plastic or aluminum) that mould together to ensure the structural form is erected soundly and achieves safe design parameters. Even the basic foundation casting is done using formwork.
Our goal is to create a bustling community in Karen, keeping in vision Nairobi's urban sustainable future.
